With its sleek chrome finish and an array of innovative features, this coffee maker brings a touch of sophistication to your morning ritual.
Design and Build Quality (4/5)
The chrome exterior of the Cuisinart coffee maker adds a modern and stylish look to any kitchen countertop. The plastic material used for the body may not be as premium as stainless steel, but it feels sturdy and well-made. The 4-cup capacity is ideal for smaller households or when you need a quick cup of coffee.
The 12-cup carafe is a standout feature, offering a drip-free pour spout and a comfortable handle for easy serving. The handle's ergonomic design ensures you won't experience any spills or discomfort while pouring your morning brew.
Performance and Features (4.5/5)
One of the standout features of this coffee maker is the "Extreme Brew" technology, which brews your coffee up to 25% faster than standard coffee makers. This is a game-changer for those busy mornings when every second counts.
The programmable function allows you to set the coffee maker to start brewing at a specific time, ensuring you wake up to the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Additionally, the auto-shutoff feature provides peace of mind by turning off the machine when it's not in use.
The brew strength control is a versatile addition, allowing you to customize your coffee's strength to your liking, whether you prefer a mild and mellow cup or a bold and robust one.
Another commendable feature is the adjustable temperature control with High, Medium, and Low settings, which keeps your coffee at your preferred temperature. No more worrying about your coffee getting cold if you're not ready to sip it immediately.
Ease of Use (4/5)
The Cuisinart coffee maker is relatively easy to operate. The control panel is intuitive, and the programmable settings make it convenient for those who want their coffee ready as soon as they wake up. The reusable filter is a practical touch, saving you the hassle of constantly buying paper filters.
Overall (4.25/5)
In conclusion, the Cuisinart Programmable Coffee Maker in Chrome is a versatile and efficient addition to any coffee lover's kitchen. Its sleek design, speed, and customizable brewing options make it a standout choice in the coffee maker market. While it may not be the most budget-friendly option, its performance and features more than justify the investment for those who value a great cup of coffee to kickstart their day. REVIEWS
The machine works well, is easy to program, and produces good coffee.
PRO:
- The temperature control is a particularly useful addition over most models, though I wish I knew what temperatures each setting stood for. I don't like the coffee to be too hot so that it burns my tongue. I had started to pour the coffee into the travel mug before showering in the morning so that it could cool a bit. This makes that unnecessary.
CON:
- The drip pause feature (remove carafe and the spring stops it from dripping onto the platter) doesn't work very well.
DEPENDS ON YOU:
- The lid on the carafe does not pivot. It clips on, which may be helpful for letting you pour without the lid flipping up and dumping coffee out too quickly. It also makes cleaning the carafe harder. Don't know how well the snap-in tabs will hold up over time.
PARTICULAR TO REFURB:
- The refurbished unit that I bought has a large silver plug just off center on the heating platter. I returned the first for this and the second had it as well. I don't like it. It makes the carafe not sit particularly well on the platter. I'm living with this because I discarded the box and don't feel like trying to get it again. This "plug" was the reason given for returning the first one. I feel returning this one for the same reason would not result in getting one that doesn't have it. The machine works fine, but it does *not* look like an original, as Amazon's refurbished statement says it should. If the price difference between new and refurbished matters to you, this doesn't really have an effect on the functioning of the machine, but it is likely a thing you'll have to live with. (See photo for what I mean. Please ignore the coffee residue; the machine comes clean and neat, save the silver "plug.")
